What skill level is required for kite trips?

Our trips cater to all skill levels. Paradise Island, Punta Rucia, and Playa Popa offer perfect flat water conditions ideal for beginners and intermediate riders. Monte Cristi downwinders are for intermediate to advanced riders who can ride upwind confidently. We match the trip to your skill level.

 

What is included in the boat trips?

All trips include professional boat transportation, experienced captain and crew, safety equipment,  certified supervision, and access to remote pristine locations. Full-day trips include refreshments, lunch, and snorkeling gear. Your kitesurfing equipment is transported safely.

 

How long are the kite trips?

Most trips are full-day excursions (6-8 hours) with multiple kitesurfing sessions, breaks for lunch, and time to explore. Half-day trips (4 hours) are available for some destinations like Punta Rucia and Playa Popa. Monte Cristi downwinders vary based on conditions and distance (3-6 hours).

 

Can complete beginners join the boat trips?

Yes! Paradise Island, Punta Rucia, and Playa Popa are perfect for beginners with flat, shallow water. We provide IKO certified supervision and can combine trips with lessons. These destinations offer the best conditions for building confidence and skills safely.

 

Do I need my own kitesurfing equipment?

Yes, you'll need your kite, board, harness, and safety equipment for the trips. If you don't have gear, we offer equipment rental - just let us know when booking. We transport all equipment safely on the boat.

 

How much do kite trips cost?

Pricing varies by destination, trip duration, and group size. Contact us for current rates and package options. We offer discounts for multiple trips, group bookings, and when combined with lessons or accommodation packages.

 

What if the weather is bad on the day of my trip?

Safety comes first. If conditions are unsuitable, we'll reschedule your trip at no charge or offer a full refund if rescheduling isn't possible. We monitor weather forecasts closely and will contact you the day before to confirm or reschedule.

 

What's the best trip for learning new tricks?

Paradise Island and Punta Rucia offer the best conditions for trick progression. The flat, forgiving water makes it perfect for practicing freestyle moves, transitions, and jumps without the intimidation of choppy conditions or waves.

 

Can we book a private trip for our group?

Absolutely! We organize private trips for groups, families, or friends. Private trips allow you to choose your destination, customize timing, and have the boat exclusively for your group. Contact us for private trip arrangements and pricing.

 

Which trip has the best snorkeling?

7 Cayos offers the best snorkeling with pristine coral reefs and abundant marine life. Paradise Island and Punta Rucia also have good snorkeling opportunities. We provide snorkeling gear on all full-day trips.

 

How far in advance should I book?

During peak season (December-March), book at least 3-5 days in advance as trips fill up quickly. Off-season, 1-2 days notice is usually sufficient. However, same-day trips are sometimes possible if we have availability - just contact us!

 

 

What's included in lunch on full-day trips?

Full-day trips include a simple beach meal or packed lunch depending on the destination. Typically fresh fruit, sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. Let us know about any dietary restrictions when booking.

 

Can non-kiters come on the trips?

Yes! Non-kitesurfing friends or family can join to enjoy the boat ride, snorkeling, beach time, and beautiful locations. They'll have a great time even without kitesurfing. Additional fee per non-kiter.

 

What about Monte Cristi downwinders - what's required?

Downwinders require solid intermediate level minimum. You must be able to ride upwind confidently in varied conditions, perform self-rescue, and maintain independence for extended periods. These are more challenging trips for experienced riders seeking adventure.

 

Do you offer multi-trip packages?

Yes! We offer discounted rates when you book multiple trips. Many guests like to do 2-3 different destinations during their stay. Ask about our multi-trip packages when booking.
